Jay is a specialist in chilli. Having worked in the food industry for over 30 years, his passion and expertise lie with the fiery fruit. Over the years, he has owned a chilli condiment company, provided consultancy to food producers, worked at chilli farms and co-owns Clifton Chilli Club who provide talks, awards and education in the UK and abroad.

At Jay’s demo people can learn how to make a tasty meal with readily available ingredients which you wouldn’t normally combine! Candied chilli is not well-known in the UK but is finding its way into more retailers and is a very versatile product. People can learn more about this magical ingredient and how it can finish a dish beautifully.

Jay will also be co-hosting the chilli eating challenge!
