Gardna

Saturday The Afterburner

Gardna is a Bristol-based artist, who continually pushes himself to higher levels of success thanks to a genre-defying approach to recording and energy-driven live performances. The MC-songwriter fuses elements from across the entire sound system spectrum to create his own unique brand of sound and lyricism. A brand that has taken him across the globe on a rhythmic journey through time and space, from the underground to the mainstream.

Summer 2023 was an impressive highlight reel for Gardna. Not only did he smash over 30 festivals including Glastonbury, main stages at Boomtown, Exit Festival, NASS, Boardmasters and WE ARE Festival, but he also took over numerous stages at an array of renowned clubs including Printworks, Drumsheds, Motion, XOYO and WAH Ibiza.

Gardna’s sophomore album, Time & Space, received much critical praise, in particular from BBC Radio 1 who named him as their Future Artist of the Month. Praise from BBC Radio 1 has since continued as they awarded him a BBC Radio 1 Dance Award Winner and crowned his ‘Past & Present’ Bristol Rave Culture mix the Mini Mix of the Year.

He was also invited to curate a Peak Time Mix for Future Dance with Sarah Story and received airplay from their entire daytime roster, as well as bagging their Track of the Week title, Charlie Hedges’s Hottest Record and Jeremiah Asiamah’s Coldest Record.

As well as his solo ventures, Gardna is a master of collaborations. Building on his previous successful collaborations with notable artists such as Sigma, DRS, Gentleman’s Dub Club.

Gardna is continuing to expand with upcoming collaborations with Toddla T, Eats Everything, Pola & Bryson, Kasra and more.

Gardna has built up a solid reputation for delviering incendiary live shows. He has extended his reach around the world, thanks to previous shows across Europe, USA, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Gardna’s UK album tour in 2022 for the release of Time & Space took in 10 headline dates up and down the country, including a sellout gig in Bristol at the famous Trinity Centre.

The live show he has curated is a versatile production, which can shift from club settings to mainstage with ease. This stream of club performances has already and will continue to boom throughout 2024, including a ‘Time to Move’ AV show and Headline Show at The Marble Factory in Q1.

As if there wasn’t enough evidence already of his widespread support, Spotify has featured Gardna on a variety of their editorial playlists including New Music Friday, Massive Drum and Bass (COVER), Bassline Bangers (COVER), Naughtiest Tunes of 23’ Altar, Long Live DNB, EA FC 24 + Fifa 23, Run n Bass, New UK Garage, Shy FX Track ID’s + Apple Music’s DNB, New In Dance + many more.
