Valley Fest’s Covid-19 Statement

Dear Valley Fest family,

We are living in strange and challenging times and, even though our event isn’t until the end of July, we’re facing much uncertainty over the current situation and our ability to deliver a safe and low-risk festival for you this year.

In light of recent developments, we’ve thought long and hard about what is best to do: should we announce our incredible line up as promised (we all need a little joy in our lives after all!) or postpone announcing for a short while?

Given that thoughts of a care-free, festival-filled summer may not be top of everyone’s minds right now, we’ve decided to delay announcing this year’s line-up until we have a little more clarity about the future. It doesn’t feel right to shout about summer festivals when so many people are concerned with the immediate future.  Instead, we want to answer some of your questions:

Q. Will Valley Fest take place over July 31st weekend?
Currently, yes.   However, we all appreciate the situation is changing daily.  After looking at all the medical predictions and advice, it is understood, at this time, that by the end of July, the main threat of COVID-19 should have dissipated and most industries should be back up and running. We are, of course, constantly monitoring the situation and will continue to keep you informed. As soon as we know, you will know.

Q. What happens if all events are cancelled for the foreseeable future?
If the government forces all events to cancel for an unspecified amount of time then the uncertainty continues, but our aim is to go on with business as usual and to hold the festival over the 31st July – 2nd August weekend.

Q. What happens if the event is cancelled?
In short, you would be entitled to a full refund of the face-value of the ticket. Although cancellation is an unlikely scenario, there are full details on our cancellation policy in our T&Cs.

And lastly, we will be making Spotify playlists, which will be giving you clues as to who we’ve booked should we be going ahead, sharing recipes and the odd podcast to entertain you as we navigate our way through this.

We promise to keep you posted, keep your eye on our socials and sign up to our newsletter.

Love the Valley Fest team x
