YOUR COVID STATUS
As per the government guidance issued on 12th July, we require evidence of a
negative lateral flow test result
double vaccination (you need to have had your second jab 14 days before arriving.)
Only one of these confirmations needs to be shown at the gate.
This doesn’t apply to children aged 11 and under.
Lateral flow tests
You can easily get lateral flow tests from here for home delivery or you can collect them from your local chemist.
Upon completing the test you MUST report your result to the NHS: https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result.
This is so that you can receive a confirmation text or email and an update to your NHS app.
A lateral flow test result is valid for 48 hours, so we advise the test to be done on the morning of arrival.
A positive result from an NHS Lateral Flow Test means it’s likely you had coronavirus when the test was done. You and anyone you live with must not attend Valley Fest and self-isolate immediately. You are then advised to get a PCR test to confirm your result as soon as possible.
Double vaccinations and natural immunity
These can be evidenced by the NHS app. Watch this useful NHS video to show you how to use the app and Covid pass. You’ll find further information below.
Anyone who re-enters the site after 48 hours will need to do an additional test. This includes any public who are staying off site. For example if you’re staying off site and are coming on Friday to Sunday, you’ll need do a test on the Friday and another on the Sunday, so bring plenty with you.
Crew & staff will be required to test themselves in their private on-site accommodation every 48 hours. So any staff arriving on Wednesday you’ll need to do an additional test on Friday morning.
Using the NHS COVID PASS
If you are a resident in England, you can show your status easily via the NHS COVID Pass on the NHS App. For more information on how to do this, please click here.
We recommend that you screenshot or download a copy of your NHS COVID Pass prior to arrival so that you have it ready to show at the Valley Fest gates. Alternatively, you can print a copy and bring this with you, which we highly recommend (it’s so much easier).
If you don’t have access to a smartphone or computer, then you can call 119 to request a letter to demonstrate your vaccination status or online here. Please note that the letter can take up to 5 working days to reach you. This letter will be sent to the address registered with your GP.
If you cannot access your NHS COVID Pass or if you do not receive a vaccination status letter in time you will need to provide evidence of a negative NHS Lateral Flow Test, by reporting the result here and presenting your NHS email or text notification at the entry gates.
If you live in Wales, you can obtain your full vaccination status by following the instructions here. You must not attend Valley Fest if you are required to self-isolate or quarantine, you are recommended or asked to self-isolate or quarantine.
You should also not attend the Valley Fest if attending would mean that you breach any guidelines or recommendations of the Government, any local authority or which otherwise apply to Valley Fest.
We will keep this page updated and it is your obligation to check on current guidelines. These require to you self-isolate where:
- you have tested positive for Covid-19; or
- if someone you live with (or within any childcare or support bubble) has tested positive; and/or
- you or someone you live with develop symptoms of Covid-19
in each case within 10 full days prior to the start of the Valley Fest (whichever is the later). The dates do not include the date on which your symptoms started or the date on which you took your test. Where you have tested positive more than 10 days previously and you still have symptoms, you must continue to self-isolate until 48 hours after those symptoms stop.
b) If you are unable to attend as a result of any requirement to self-isolate, you will be entitled to transfer your ticket to Valley Fest’s 2022 event (held 5-7th August). Please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your customer ID along with evidence – eg a doctor’s certificate and/or a copy of any messages received from NHS Track and Trace.
