The Food Foundation are hosting a two-day Youth 4 Food Festival as part of Valley Fest.
The festival will bring together around 100 young food advocates for a weekend of growth, learning and creativity. The young people will develop their understanding of food system transformation and their advocacy and campaigning skills in a fun and engaging environment. They will meet and engage with business leaders, campaigners, politicians, and policy makers, as well as young food advocates, activists, artists and entrepreneurs.
The programme will include lively debates, inspiring stories, and exciting innovations, as well as a Saturday night Disco Soup party! Sessions will see their peers and partners from different countries joining the discussion via live video links. On Sunday, they will launch the Actions 4 Change, which has been developed with youth across the world.
The young delegates that will be taking part have experience as food advocates with the Food Foundation and our partner organisations, working on issues such as nutrition, food poverty and sustainability. The Youth 4 Food tent will be open to the public all weekend and all are welcome to come and explore and to attend the sessions, especially young people!
