About Pegs Quinn

Pegs Quinn is the chef-owner of Bristol’s much-loved Sonny Stores, a neighbourhood restaurant celebrated for its seasonal Mediterranean cooking, warm hospitality and unwavering commitment to exceptional produce.
After honing his craft in pub kitchens, aboard luxury yachts and in private kitchens across Greece, Pegs spent four formative years at London’s legendary River Café, where he developed the ingredient-led philosophy that continues to define his cooking today.

In 2020, Pegs and his partner Mary Glynn opened Sonny Stores, realising a long-held ambition to create a restaurant centred on outstanding produce, generous hospitality and simple, flavour-driven cooking. The restaurant has since become one of Bristol’s most acclaimed dining destinations, earning a loyal following and widespread critical praise.

At the heart of Pegs’ cooking is a simple belief: when you start with exceptional ingredients, great food follows. It’s an approach that shines through in every dish he creates.
